Welcome to Texas National Golf Club

Texas National was designed for all golfers: from pros to amateurs of all skill levels. Possibly the most attractive element about this 1977 Jack Miller layout is that there are no architectural “gimmicks”, just 6800 yards of pure challenge with great rewards for good shots.

Situated on 200+ acres of undulating terrain, Texas National’s par 72, 18 hole course is located on the highest plateau in the Greater Houston area. All eighteen (18) holes are a challenge to the low handicapped, yet the location of the tees will help make it extremely fair for the average golfer.

The Texas Golf Hall of Fame originated and began at Texas National. It was founded in 1978 by the former TN owner, Russell Wiggins and TN PGA Professional, Bob Payne. It was in the Texas National Clubhouse that the Texas Golf Hall of Fame immortals were honored with life-size portraits. Texas National was the home of the Texas Golf Hall of Fame from 1978 to 1987.

PGA Professional and Texas Golf Hall of Fame Co-Founder, Bob Payne, still graces our Golf Course with his presence and is a constant source of great pride, wisdom and guidance for the current management and officers of the Texas National Golf Club

We envision to carry on and expand the credibility of our golfing shrine and our rich history. Texas National is one of the oldest (if not “THE” oldest), most challenging and beautiful golf courses in Texas.

Play at Texas National for the challenge - come back for the game!
